How it works

Step 1: Set up an account

Sign up for the Paper Cairns affiliate program by creating an account. I’ll review your request and ask any follow-up questions.

Step 2: Share affiliate links

Share your unique affiliate links (to individual products or to the papercairns.com homepage). You can post them on your website, blog, email, social media, and more.

Step 3: Get 15%

You’ll receive 15% of each sale that comes from one of your links (paid to you via check, Venmo, or PayPal). The 15% is calculated after any discounts and before sales tax.

What are the legal requirements to become an affiliate?

You must be based in the United States to become an affiliate.

Payout Method: How will I get paid?

You will be paid by either check, Venmo, or PayPal (whichever you prefer). We’ll discuss this during your account set-up.

How long is the attribution window?

There is a 14-day attribution window. If someone clicks your affiliate link and buys a map within 14 days, you’ll get credit for the sale.

What happens to my own purchases?

Your own purchases are not eligible for affiliate commissions. You will not receive 15% for your own purchases.

What if someone buys a discounted map through my affiliate link?

Your affiliate commission is based on post-discount sale price. If someone buys a $150 map that’s on sale for $100, you will receive 15% of $100 ($15).

Is sales tax included in my commission?

Sales tax is not included in your commission. If someone buys a $100 map with 8% sales tax, you will receive 15% of $100 ($15).

Will I receive an 1099 or other paperwork?

If you earn $600 or more within the tax year from affiliate payouts, you will receive a 1099-NEC form. When your affiliate payouts near $600, you will be asked to complete a W-9.
